Dotty's Cafe - Imagine you are in a time where life wasn't so rushed. A time were you could sit back with a lovely cup of tea, nibble a digestive and listen to Ella Fitzgerald. Sounds lovely doesn't it? Well come down to Dotty's. A relaxed atmosphere in retro surroundings, with lovely grub (veggie) and very nice people. Danse Macabre is a Nottingham based arts organisation run by Charlotte Thomson, Matthew Vickerstaff aka Darkwave Art, Paul Bowring aka The Paint Distresser and Jody Capuano of Black No. 1. Danse Macabre creates innovative and imaginitive arts events around the UK but keeps its roots firmly in Nottingham. We aim to create opportunies an platforms for artists & creative industries professionals, from widely varied disciplines, to showcase their work in galleries and at unique events. The theme that binds us together is a fascination for the darker side of life, work that explores the deep subconscious, beauty and decadence and that revives the true essense of 'Gothic', while subverting expectations and breaking clichés. We bring all of this to new audiences, proving there is a dark side to all of us!
